Image Stabilization

Image stabilization is technology that reduces the visual impact of camera shake and unintended motion on video footage. Without stabilization, footage from body-worn cameras during movement can be jarring and difficult to watch or analyze. Stabilization systems analyze motion and compensate either by physically adjusting the camera's optics or sensor, known as optical stabilization, or by processing the video digitally after capture, known as electronic stabilization. Both approaches improve the watchability and analytical value of live streaming footage from active field personnel.
