360 video is footage captured simultaneously in every direction using a camera with multiple lenses arranged to cover the full sphere around the recording device. The individual lens feeds are stitched together into a single equirectangular video file that can be viewed on a flat screen with pan and tilt navigation, or in a virtual reality headset for a fully immersive experience. In operational streaming, 360 video from a field location allows remote viewers to look in any direction within the scene.
