A pixel is the smallest discrete element of a digital image or video frame. Each pixel represents a single point of color information, and the total number of pixels in a frame, the resolution, determines how much detail the image contains. In a 1080p video frame, for example, there are approximately 2.07 million pixels arranged in a 1920 by 1080 grid. The quality of individual pixels, including their color accuracy and bit depth, also contributes to the overall appearance of live stream footage.
