AI Live Streaming on Private 5G | ActionStreamer + HTC

This year at SCTE TechExpo 25 in Washington, D.C., ActionStreamer joined forces with HTC, and REIGN Technology Corporation (G REIGNS) in The Continuum to demonstrate the future of AI-powered live streaming over private 5G networks. Together, we showcased how advanced AI-driven video processing combined with 5G infrastructure enables high-fidelity, ultra-low latency streaming across next-generation wearable devices.

AI Meets Private 5G with G REIGNS

At the heart of the demonstration was G REIGNS, HTC Group’s 5G RAN solution that complies with O-RAN open interfaces and supports cloud-native vRAN. By pairing ActionStreamer’s live media infrastructure with AI video intelligence and G REIGNS Private 5G, we delivered smarter, faster, and more reliable streaming from wearable cameras and smart devices.

AI adds a critical layer to the workflow—enabling features like real-time object recognition, video optimization, and adaptive bandwidth control that make streaming not just faster, but more intelligent. These advancements open the door to real-time decision support across industries where every moment counts.

Opening the Door for AI-Enabled Wearables in the Field

The shift toward wearable technologies like smart glasses and VR headsets is accelerating. With HTC VIVE hardware—including products like VIVE Focus Vision—combined with ActionStreamer’s low-latency software stack and AI-driven streaming, organizations can capture and share intelligent, first-person perspectives from the field.

These capabilities unlock new levels of performance for:

  • Industrial inspections with AI-assisted hazard detection

  • Remote assist and MRO workflows with real-time guidance overlays

  • Immersive training with AI-enhanced video clarity and context tagging

  • Field operations where situational awareness is improved by machine learning insights

Listen to Dan O'Brien, President Americas of HTC VIVE, discuss the future of wearables, network infrastructure, and HTC VIVE in real-world applications.

A Containerized Approach to AI-Powered Streaming

ActionStreamer’s software is designed with a containerized architecture, enabling rapid deployment across virtualized environments. By combining this flexibility with AI modules, enterprises can integrate live video feeds into their existing cloud or edge workflows—scaling from simple streaming to AI-enhanced video intelligence seamlessly.

This ensures organizations can adapt quickly while keeping deployments secure, efficient, and future-ready.

Looking Ahead

Our joint demonstration with HTC and G Reigns at SCTE TechExpo25 highlighted not only what’s possible today with AI-powered live streaming on private 5G networks, but also what’s coming next for connected workers. As industries adopt smart glasses, XR headsets, and wearable streaming devices, solutions like ActionStreamer + HTC’s G REIGNS will define the next generation of real-time, intelligent collaboration tools.
