A wearable sensor is a compact measurement device integrated into clothing, personal protective equipment, or body-worn hardware that continuously monitors physiological or environmental parameters and transmits the data wirelessly. In operational live streaming deployments, wearable sensors can monitor operator heart rate, body temperature, blood oxygen levels, ambient gas concentrations, temperature, and noise levels, sending this data alongside the live video stream so command centers receive a comprehensive picture of both the scene and the operator's status.
