A Content Delivery Network (CDN) is a geographically distributed network of servers that work together to deliver video streams and other content to viewers as efficiently as possible. When a live stream is published to a CDN, it is replicated across servers in multiple locations worldwide. Viewers are automatically routed to the nearest server, reducing the physical distance data must travel and improving stream quality, reducing latency, and increasing reliability at global scale.
